Ritsurin Garden, Special Place of Scenic Beauty
Ritsurin Garden is a stroll garden of the daimyo style, the largest of its kind among Japan's Cultural Property Gardens designated as Special Places of Scenic Beauty.
The garden was created by generations of the Lords of Takamatsu Matsudaira and the ponds and miniature hills are so beautifully and artfully laid out that each step reveals a new view.

Yashima Mountain Top
Yashima, a roof-shaped lava plateau, is also famous as a battlefield of the Genpei Battle. The view of Takamatsu City and the calm Seto Inland Sea dotted with beautiful small islands from the top of this mountain is a must-see. There are many more sights to see, Such as Yashimaji Temple, which is the 84th temple of the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage, the New Yashima Aquarium, which is a rare sight in the world because it is constructed on top of a mountain.

SHIKOKUMURA MUSEUM
An outdoor museum at the foot of Yashima, exhibiting old houses and historic buildings, including government-designated Important Cultural Properties that have been relocated and restored. In addition to introductions to New Year's decorations and other seasonal decoration customs, the museum also features the Shikoku Mura Gallery designed by Tadao Ando and Shikokumura Waraya and the Shikokumura Cafe, which makes use of a Western-style residence transported here from Kobe.

Takamatsu Art Museum
The museum conveniently located adjacent to the main shopping district is an artistic building with a modern style and a quaint atmosphere. The museum houses approximately 1,700 works on three themes: post-war contemporary Japanese art, world art from the 20th and the 21st centuries (prints) and art from Kagawa (crafts).

Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage 80th Sacred Spot, Kokubunji Temple
The temple has well-preserved ruins from the Nara Era when it was founded. It is the only temple in Shikoku whose entire former grounds are designated a Special Historic Site by the government. Black pines are planted in the vast grounds of the temple.
