OKI Olive Garden Café
Climb up from the sign on Route 13 and enter another world with 1500 olive trees.
Beautifully green olives, harvested young, have a light taste that pairs well with Japanese food. Omutama Gohan (Fried Rice and Egg Omelette) is an extremely delicious menu item topped with olive oil. Enjoy the food in the fresh air of the olive garden.
Tankai
Tankai offer popular set menu meals developed from fresh local fish with seasonal side dishes. We recommend the sashimi and tempura meal or the fried shrimp meal. They place importance on home-cooked taste, using a rich dashi stock with bonito, iriko, and fish bone to enhance the flavors of its dishes. This is the right place to enjoy Japanese food.
Genpei no Sato Mure
This roadside station boasts souvenirs from Kagawa and Shikoku, and a restaurant. Drop in to buy beverages and take a bathroom break.
Jakoya Seafood Diner offers over 60 kinds of home-made foods every day. Local women are responsible for cooking, making local fish-based dishes.

On Day 2, take the cycle path along the Koto River that flows on the west side of Takamatsu.
Takamatsu Municipal Water Museum
This vividly-painted western-style building is the former Goten Suigenchi (currently, the Takamatsu Municipal Water Museum).
It is a water purification plant that was constructed to build a modern water system for Takamatsu in the Taisho Period.

The yellow shipping container with a female demon painted on it is the rolled egg shop, Tamagoyaki Akaoni (Japanese-style omelette shop).
Oniko no Tamago Sando (egg Sandwich) are egg sandwiches for which the rolled egg is made fresh for each order. That's why the rolled egg is very soft. The owner/chef used to run a Japanese cuisine restaurant. It takes nine hours for him to prepare the full-blown dashi stock for the rolled egg. There are two types of rolled egg: Akaoni (sweet) and Ao'oni (light and seasoned with salt).
Rows of cherry trees along the Koto River
There are many rows of cherry trees dotted here and there along the Koto River. In April, the riverbanks become light pink. You can look at the cherry blossoms very closely because the branches are quite low. Take a break to enjoy the cherry blossoms.
Shunpudo Factory Shop
This shop is an outlet store selling the cakes and breads made by Shunpudo, a long-established western confectionery in Takamatsu.
Many regular customers and students come for bargains on items such as bread baked the previous day and cake crumbs. Come in the morning when they still have many different products in stock.
